PERTH Theatre Trust chair Saliba Sassine has announced he will retire from his position at the end of his contract this year.
Dr Sassine has overseen a number of changes during his years in the position with the trust having decommissioned its ticket sales through BOCS Ticketing in January, opened the State Theatre Centre of WA and Albany Entertainment Centre, replaced the Perth Concert Hall seats, and restored the fagade of His Majesty’s Theatre.
During the past year the trust held 1,138 events, which were attended by about 448,000 people, an increase in the number of events by 28 per cent and audience attendance by 11 per cent.
