A new four-star accommodation property situated eight minutes from the centre of Bunbury opened on1 July.
The Sanctuary is run by Tan Holdings, a Cornelius family company with twenty years experience in South West resort operations including Broadwater Resort and Geographe Bayview in Busselton.
Tan spokesperson Terry Cornelius said venture partners the Whitrods brought valuable golf resort experience with them.
“Lee Whitrod was on the opening team at the Vines Golf Resort, has operated the Karratha International Hotel and been involved with several high profile properties,” Mr Cornelius said.
“Our two groups are also currently involved in the Pagoda Long Bar and Conference Centre in South Perth, The Beach Tavern in Mullaloo, Como Beach Cafe, Great Western Motel in the Goldfields and Broadwater Busselton Conference Centre and Restaurant.”
The Sanctuary has thirty self-contained apartments, eight studio units, an eighteen hole golf course, tennis courts, and meeting and function facilities for up to 200 guests.
The official opening ceremony will take place on 13 August.
