SALLY Malay Mining has announced that Edward Tait has agreed to join the board of the company as a non-executive director. Mr Tait comes from a career in financial markets, first with Merrill Lynch followed by 25 years with Mac-quarie Bank. He spent six years as chairman of Macquarie in Western Australia. In 2004, he left to establish Tait Farrow Azure Investment Partners, an investment advisory practice based in Perth. He is chairman of the Western Australian Biomedical Research Institute, a non-executive director of Agincourt Resources, a trustee of the WA Museum and an affiliate of the Securities Institute. He has replaced Robert Logan, who resigned from the board, effective at the end of September.
