SCEE picks up contracts

Southern Cross Electrical Engineering has secured $10 million worth of new work, including a contract with Western Power.

SCEE announced today it has been awarded $4 million worth of transmission overhead line maintenance work for Western Power; its first contract for the utility provider since being admitted to Western Power’s major works panel.

The Perth-based engineering company has also received $6 million worth of new orders on an undisclosed existing project.

“I am pleased to be able to announced these contract awards which take the total value of work won so far in 2016 to over $30 million,” chief executive Graeme Dunn said.

“We look forward to successfully delivering the maintenance work for Western Power an building a long-term working relationship.”

Shares in SCEE were unchanged at 39 cents each at 12:30pm.
