Rick Hart retires from Clive Peeters

Perth businessman Rick Hart has tendered his resignation as chief executive of his namesake electrical goods stores and as director of parent company Clive Peeters.

Clive Peeters managing director Greg Smith said today that Mr Hart had decided it was in the best interests of the company for him not to seek re-election as a director for another two years.

"[He] believes now is a good time for him to move on and explore other business opportunities," Mr Smith said.

Mr Hart has been chief executive for the Rick Hart Group since 2005 when the business merged with eastern states retailer Clive Peeters.

Ron Pamenter has been appointed as the new general manager of the Rick Hart Group. He was the chief executive of the group from 1998 to 2002 and was also the CEO for the Queensland-based Clive Anthony Group from 2002 to early 2007.
