OLIVE oil marketer Piquant Blue expects supply agreements with Coles and Woolworths to enhance its national sales from next month. Under the new agreement with Coles, Red Island olive oil will be sold in all Coles supermarkets and BiLo stores nationwide by the end of May. The company also announced that its agreement with Woolworths for Red Island was being expanded to include new product lines and a positioning of the brand in premium shelf space areas. In addition, Piquant Blue revealed steady progress in its export sales to Europe and supermarkets in the US. In Europe, the company says, it has sold Red Island products to the value of $260,000 to Dutch retailer, Oil & Vinegar. Melbourne-based diversified agribusiness group, Timbercorp, is an 11 per cent stakeholder in Piquant Blue, which listed on the ASX in January last year.
