Perth-based Resource Development Group says it has combined its business operations into two independent divisions, following its acquisition of Central Systems in October last year.

In a statement today, the contract manager and engineering services provider said its business would be divided into two operations: consulting and contracting.

“The consulting division consolidates wholly-owned subsidiaries Ecologia Environment, Engenium and Intellect Systems into one business, which will operate under the Engenium brand,” RDG said.

It said under the Engenium brand, the company would provide environmental, engineering and technology consultancy services to the resource, energy and infrastructure sectors.

Engenium managing director Wayne Peel also announced his retirement from the role today, with Brian De Swardt to take the helm.

RDG’s contracting division will consolidate its Centrals and Pacer Corporation businesses, which will be operated under the Centrals brand.

“Centrals will continue to provide construction, maintenance and remedial services to the resource, energy, defence and infrastructure sectors,” the company said.

Managing director Jeff Brill said it made sense to consolidate the company’s subsidiaries into two divisions in order to streamline its service offering to clients.

“Our clients will still deal with the same personnel they always have, including the same managers and decision-makers,” Mr Brill said.

“So, in essence, their experience with our business will not change.”

Shares in RDG were trading at 6 cents per share at the close.
