LANDCORP has awarded RJ Vincent the construction contract for the Exmouth’s marina village project.
The $10.57 million construction contract will provide new residential, commercial and tourist facilities for the entire region.
Work is about to begin on the 102ha development, including a link with the $15 million boat harbour and a safe launching point for boats travelling to the Ningaloo Reef.
Planning and Infrastructure Minister Alannah MacTiernan said the development would act as a catalyst to attract private sector investment.
“We will see the development of high quality, environmentally compatible accommodation, attractions and infrastructure,” Ms MacTiernan said.
RJ Vincent has previously worked on LandCorp projects including Minim Cove, Port Geograph Bay, Busselton and Roebuck Estate in Broome.
“The local economy will also benefit from the work with the contractor using transport, concrete materials and accommodation from the Gascoyne region,” Ms MacTiernan said.
