Engineering firm RCR Tomlinson Ltd has secured an additional $34 million in new project work, boosting the total value of its order book to over $210 million.

The Welshpool-based company said the majority of the new work was through the Easteel Energy Australia division of RCR Energy and Industrial Services.

The new work includes the design, manufacture and installation of a waste fired cogeneration plant for the paper industry in Victoria and the design and supply of a packaged boiler and a heat treatment project for a Queensland operation.

RCR chief executive John Noordhoek said securing the cogeneration plant order reflects RCR's growing capability and presence in developing thermally efficient generation plants.

"This order acknowledges our position in this growing market, built upon our expertise and long history in boiler design and manufacturing," Mr Noordhoek said.
