WA engineering company RCR Tomlinson has acquired a 60 per cent share in a new company, Premium Workforce, to supply

shutdown maintenance and labour hire services throughout the state.

The acquisition was essentially of client and contract labour databases and requires RCR Tomlinson to provide certain guarantees.

RCR managing director John Linden said the purchase was part of a new business development drive to provide integrated engineering services to clients.

Premium Workforce founder Jim Martin, who retains a 40 per cent share of the business, will manage it from RCR’s Welshpool premises.

RCR’s Tomlinson Boiler business unit has commenced manufacturing the Ultra and Tomlinson water tube range of boilers at the Welshpool plant.

The proprietary products were previously manufactured under

contract in New South Wales.
