Perth-based online DVD rental company Quickflix has teamed up with Virgin Mobile to market its services to potential new customers.

Dubbed as an "exclusive promotion", all new Virgin post-paid customers will receive a complimentary three month membership to Quickflix, valued at nearly $45, for the month of July.

Quickflix director of marketing Ben Hammond said he was excited to be partnering with Virgin.

"Virgin Mobile is a great brand and we think a perfect fit for our co-promotional activities. This promotion will be an opportunity to introduce the concept of online DVD rental to a new segment of Australian customers who are technology savvy, content driven and excited about trying new things" he said.

Virgin Mobile head of acquisition Chris Jones said: "Virgin Mobile is all about offering great value to our customers. This partnership with Quickflix will give our new customers an opportunity to try online DVD rental for themselves - we know our customers love entertainment and movies in particular so we wanted to partner with a brand that is all about that experience".

Quickflix said it has seen strong growth in the midst of the global financial crisis as more Australian consumers look to the convenience of online DVD rental for entertainment from the comfort of their own home.

The campaign will be promoted heavily through online channels as well as through point of sale executions in store in Virgin Mobile retail outlets and through their network of retail partners.
