Real estate group CBRE has appointed Theo Smyrniotis to the role of general manager of QV1, following Paul Teraci’s 14-year tenure in the position.

Mr Smyrniotis is set to join QV1 from a role as Knight Frank head of occupier services WA, where he developed and delivered the service line strategy for Western Australia.

CBRE head of property management Louise Draper said Mr Smyrniotis’ appointment would bring a fresh perspective and deep skillset to QV1.

“Theo’s extensive experience in occupier services will strengthen the QV1 management team with unique insights into understanding occupiers and their drivers,” she said.

“He brings a valuable skillset with strengths in strategy, negotiation and analytical processes that will continue to support our clients and QV1 tenants – ensuring that QV1 remains a people and future-focused workplace destination.”

Mr Smyrniotis has worked in the property industry for more than 25 years.

QV1 is co-owned by AXA Investment Managers – Real Assets and Investa Commercial Property Fund, and has close to 60,000sqm of net lettable area.

Paul Teraci was the head of QV1 for 14 years, until he started as Cygnet West’s director of premium properties in September this year.

QV1's lobby upgrade was completed earlier this year and the streetscape refurbishment is due for completion at the end of February.
