Power play for Microsoft

Perth-based Microsoft partner Power Business Systems and its customer Commtech Wireless were firmly entrenched in the worldwide launch of a new Microsoft product this week.

The software giant globally launched its customer relationship manager (CRM) 3.0 product, with Commtech Wireless one of 20 worldwide customers to showcase the new CRM version since early November.

Power Business Systems business development manager Saul Sabath said the launch of Microsoft CRM 3.0 had already created a huge amount of interest from the market.

“We have had customers ordering in the hundreds of licenses,” he said.

“Interest from existing and potential customers has been higher than any other product we have worked with in 20 years.

“The CRM sits with any commercial organisation which has one or more staff members with a number of contacts or customers whom they wish to manage their interactions with.”

Mr Sabath said Power Business Systems was expecting its year-on-year Microsoft CRM related revenue to increase 300 per cent from the new release.

“We have acquired more CRM customers over the past 6 months than in the previous two years because of CRM 3.0,” he said.

“CRM is called a horizontal application, in that … it doesn’t matter if you are a government organisation or a not-for-profit, anyone who has interactions that they need to manage external personnel can use this application.

“There is not a high degree of training that is required, so from a user acceptance point of view we are seeing a very high entry.”

Power Business Systems is a gold certified partner with Microsoft and has more than 19 years’ experience in software and IT solutions to government and commercial organisations based in Australia, Asia and Africa.

Commtech Wireless chief executive Nathan Buzza was named 1st amongst equals at the WA Business News 40under40 awards in 2003. Commtech Wireless designs and manufactures on-site and wide area paging systems.
