Building and construction group Pindan has announced the launch of a joint venture hire business for its Formas range of modular accommodation.

The joint venture, between Formas and WA-based Field Deployment Solutions will focus of providing accommodation hire for the mining, oil and gas, military and disaster relief sectors.

Formas director Scott Davison said Complete Camp Solutions would purchase the accommodation units from FOrmas and hire them out as required.

“Pindan’s contracting division can also be engaged to undertake the complete design, construct and installation of the accommodation on-site as well as take care all of the civil works where required,” Mr Davison said.

The launch of the new company coincides with the release of Formas’ newly redesigned ERGO range of worker accommodation.

The ERGO units can be stacked to offer multi-storey accommodation and maximize site space.

“The new ERGO range is bigger and better – each unit is now 51m2 so there’s more living space, they boast timber-look vinyl floors, and there are furnished options including airconditioning and a bar fridge,” Formas managing director John Longhurst said.

“Our upgraded ERGO range has also been independently certified as fully Building Code of Australia compliant and has improved thermal and cyclone ratings, as well as a host of other changes, particularly to further reduce the installation time needed.”
