Pindan has broken ground at TRG Properties’ Marina Edge project in Port Coogee after being named the replacement builder for Diploma Group, which backed out of a $38 million development contract on Monday.

In a statement today, TRG said Marina Edge would offer permanent and unrivalled water views.

Pindan will build 109 luxury one, two and three-bedroom apartments over nine levels, with completion expected in mid-2017.

Apartment sales at the project have already passed the halfway mark, with more than $40 million received to-date.

Chief operating officer Tanya Trevisan said buyers at Marina Edge were attracted to the combination of relaxed coastal living and modern design.

“The development showcases the best of the west coast, with uninterrupted views of the Indian Ocean, large open plan living spaces and spacious terraces and balconies to ensure residents can make the most of the setting,” she said.

“It presents a rare opportunity for buyers to secure a place in a newly-developed marina precinct next to Fremantle, with the added attractions of beautiful beaches and landscaped parklands all within immediate walking distance.”

With prices at Marina Edge ranging from $435,000 to $665,000, Ms Trevisan said construction of modern local amenities including a village centre and shopping and cafe facilities further supported the growing vibrancy within the Port Coogee community.

The project was designed by local architecture firm Cameron Chisholm Nicol
