PERTH Upmarket has relocated to a bigger venue at the University of Western Australia’s Winthrop Hall to accommodate the growing number of stallholders at the quarterly run handcraft markets.

Perth Upmarket creator Justine Barsley said the markets had grown substantially during the past few months, from 75 stallholders during Christmas to about 110, with more than 6,000 visitors to each market.

“We were bursting at the seams at Perth Town Hall,” she said.

“We love unearthing new retailers for each event to keep the market fresh.

“They will accompany our returning retailers, who’ve all been busy working day and night, producing a host of new ranges to keep up with demand.”

Ms Barsley said the new venue would give the market an opportunity to showcase more creative retailers.

She said her markets concept was a marketing solution for small businesses and she regularly collaborated with the Belmont Business Enterprise Centre to assist stallholders develop their brand
