Bunbury-based Perkins Builders has been appointed to spearhead the construction of an $18 million holiday accommodation precinct and microbrewery in Dunsborough.

The project, owned by GPA and being spearheaded by Place Development Australia, will involve the construction of 18 private chalets, a micro-brewery, coffee roastery, retail tenancies and an alfresco area on the corner of Dunn Bay and Cape Naturaliste Road.

The development, which was unanimously approved by the City of Busselton Council in May, is expected to assist with the current shortfall of accommodation in the town centre.

PDA director Joe D'Alessandro said the company’s partnership with family-owned South West business Perkins demonstrated its preference to collaborate with the best local talent.

Construction on the project is expected to begin this week and be completed in early 2022.

Perkins is one of the state's largest commercial builders, with a suite of major construction projects underway across Western Australia and more than $167 million in annual revenue.
