Perth-based subsea engineering group Peritus International has signed a non-exclusive agreement with Woodside Energy to provide engineering services on Woodside's offshore facilities.

The contract for a wide range of engineering services for Woodside's project development group will have an initial three-year term with two one-year extension options.

Peritus International Asia Pacific operations director David Kennare said the contract built on the company's recent success working with Woodside throughout 2010.

"We are delighted to be awarded this contract which provides the opportunity to further expand our delivery of engineering and implementation services to Woodside", Mr Kennare said.

"This award represents another step towards achieving our vision, to be recognised as a world leader in the provision of advanced subsea and floating systems engineering and project management services for offshore projects across the globe, with a particular focus on difficult and deepwater environments."

Peritus was established in Perth early last year, with backing from Clough, which is its majority shareholder.
