PELICAN Resources has executed an option agreement with Kalgoorlie gold prospector Mal Dalla Costa over two tenements totalling about 450 hectares in the Gindalbie area about 54 kilometres northeast of Kalgoorlie.
The exclusive option may be exercised on or before May 1 by the payment of $350,000 to Mr Dalla Costa.
The historical Eclipse Gold Mine lies within one of those tenements.
Available data shows the old workings consisted of a 78 metre shaft, a small amount of development at 78 metres and stoping down to at least 60 metres.
Pelican plans to immediately start exploring the ground, firstly with drilling around the Eclipse area.
