Parking infrastructure builder Parkd has signed a contract with Audi Centre Perth to construct a new luxury automotive retail facility in Myaree.

The Perth-based car park construction company will deliver the car dealer's new retail centre, which will integrate sales, servicing and storage facilities in a multi-storey development.

Parkd non-executive chairman Bronte Howson is also the owner of Audi Centre Perth.

"Having developed over 80 dealerships in Australia and New Zealand while managing director of Automotive Holdings Group, I am delighted to contract Parkd to construct my second Audi dealership in Perth using their innovative system," he said.

"As chairman of Parkd I am proud and excited to see the progress the company has made and is making and have complete confidence in the team to deliver, what I see to be, the future of automotive retail dealership design and construction.

Parkd’s scope of work includes turnkey construction services such as supplying, installing, assembling, and fit out works.

The development is expected to consolidate sales, serving, pre-delivery and parts into a vertically integrated multiple storey facility using Parkd’s structural solutions.

The contract award comes after the company secured stage one of the project for design work in 2022.

According to the 2022 ASX statement, the retail centre would be situated on a 4000 square metre lot of land with a 12 new vehicle showroom, 16 service bays and external capacity to display 46 pre-owned vehicles alongside customer parking.

Parkd managing director Peter McUtchen said the award marked a significant milestone for the company and provided a solid base on which to build into 2024.

"This project also presents PARKD with the perfect opportunity in which to showcase our metal deck connection system and the benefits to safety, program and sustainability this new system brings to the construction industry,” he said.

Work is expected to commence in October and be completed by December 2024.
