Programmed Maintenance Services is among five companies to be added to the S&P/ASX200 in changes to the market indices set to occur after market close on December 18.

Floundering retailer Dick Smith and Perth-based uranium miner Paladin Energy, will drop out of the 200, as will Cardno, Arrium, and Drillsearch.

Joining Programmed in the additions will be Australian Pharmaceutical Group, APN Outdoor Group, Costa Group, and Isentia Group.

The changes to the indices result from the market’s December quarterly review.

Programmed’s ascension comes after its October acquisition of Skilled Group, in a deal reportedly worth $424 million.
