Oreana Property has bought a 5,500 square metre development site in Baldivis from Frasers Property Australia for $2.45 million, with plans to develop a childcare centre and retail district at the site.

The land, at 2 Daintree Street, is part of Frasers Properties’ masterplanned Baldivis Parks community, 11km from Rockingham.

A proposal for a supermarket, specialty shops and a childcare centre is in place for the site.

Frasers Property general manager develop Tod O'Dwyer said Melbourne-based Oreana Property was the ideal partner to develop Baldivis Parks retail and childcare centre.

“The Centre will be an important focal point for the growing community, and we will work together with Oreana Property during the planning and design phases to ensure that the project is consistent with the character and design of Baldivis Parks,” he said.

Oreana Property managing director Tony Sass said his company’s first priority was to create a design for the site that “responds to the Baldivis Parks community’s lifestyle aspirations and the natural environment”.

“Based on our current timetable, we expect to lodge a development application by early 2023 once the design and planning is completed with the centre operational and trading by late 2024,” he said.

Oreana Property has offices in Melbourne and Hong Kong.
