Oreana Property Group is entering the Western Australian market with a $10 million project in Butler, which includes a 91-place childcare centre and a retail precinct.

The Melbourne-based developer received approval to build an early learning centre and retail precinct on its 4,453-square metre site.

The developer, which has built similar developments in Melbourne since its inception in 1999, confirmed it would push ahead with the project in the final quarter of this year.

Oreana co-founder and managing director Tony Sass said the company decided to expand into WA as it continued to grow its national footprint.

“We also view WA as a strong long-term growth market, due to factors such as its expected population growth,” he said.

The development site is on the corner of Marmion Avenue and Reflection Boulevard.

Aspire Early Learning will occupy the early learning centre, with 91 childcare places.
