Eiszele wins 2011 gas award

David Eiszele has won the WA Gas Industry Development Award for 2011, which recognises an outstanding contribution by an individual or company toward development of the domestic gas industry in WA. Mr Eiszele is currently chairman of Verve Energy and the Lions Eye Institute, and a non-executive director of geothermal exploration company Torrens Energy.

Cole joins APPEA

The Australian Petroleum Production and Exploration Association has elected Rob Cole (pictured) as vice-chairman of the board for the coming financial year. Mr Cole is the executive vice-president – corporate centre and general counsel of Woodside Energy, and was previously partner in charge of Mallesons in Perth. Buru Energy executive director Eric Streitburg has been replaced by Santos’ David Knox as APPEA chairman.

Aamodt heads Alchemy

Gold explorer Alchemy Resources has elected a new board of directors, with Oscar Aamodt as non-executive chairman, after the previous board resigned en masse last Friday. Mr Aamodt is a former non-executive director of Independence Group, and has also held directorships with Energy Metals, Bluestone Tin, Metals Exploration and Abelle. The Alchemy board will also include Jindalee Resources managing director Lindsay Dudfield and Dragon Energy director Anthony Ho as non-executive directors, following the resignations of Warwick Davis, Robert Brierley, John Arbuckle and Jeffrey Moore.
