UWA resources board announced

The Energy and Minerals Institute has been launched at the University of Western Australia, boasting an impressive board of trustees including Rio Tinto executive Sam Walsh (pictured) and Shell Australia chair Ann Pickard (pictured). Also on the board are CSIRO executive James Bradfield Moody and BHP Billiton executive Glenn Kellow. The board will be chaired by Greig Gailey.

George Jones joins Centaurus Metals

Iron ore company Centaurus Metals has appointed George Jones as a strategic consultant as the company moves towards production from its Brazilian iron ore projects. Mr Jones is also the chairman of Gindalbie Metals and Sundance Resources.

Connelly MD at Adamus

Adamus Resources has appointed Mark Connelly managing director and chief executive officer. Mr Connelly has held the position of chief operating officer and executive director for the past three years. Mark Bojanjac has stepped down from the role with immediate effect and will provide his services on a consulting basis as required.

Brierty appoints CEO and CFO

Civil contractor Brierty has appointed Tony Bevan as chief executive officer for an initial period of six months during which an assessment will be made as to whether he will be made permanent. Geoff Edwards, former chief financial officer of Neptune Marine, has been appointed Brierty's chief financial officer.
