THE inaugural Hudson Report has revealed that the nation’s employment expectations over the next quarter are up for the first time in 18 months, with the news for Western Australia the best for two years.

Employers in WA are confident about prospects for the next three months, recording a net increase in employment expectation of 33.1 per cent, up 11.1 per cent on past quarter.

The large increase in employment expectation in the State is driven by strong forecasts in both the professional services and resources sectors.

“There is a mood of quiet confidence across Western Australian in relation to recruitment prospects over the next quarter,” TMP/Hudson Global Resources general manager WA Barry Knight said.

TMP rebadged itself to become TMP/Hudson Global Resources about six months ago to reflect the changing nature of its business.
