Vivian Edwards has been appointed Stipendiary Magistrate at Northam. Ms Edwards is a barrister and solicitor, with a background in criminal law, both as a prosecutor and defence counsel.
Ms Edwards was admitted to practice in 1979 and in 1981 became WA’s first female prosecutor. She is currently senior partner in the law firm Edwards Lewington.
Ms Edwards is also a board member of the Albany Women’s Refuge and an Albany youth theatre group.
