EDITORS experienced with one non-linear system can familiarise themselves with another at the Film & Television Institute’s one day workshops during May and June.
The workshops are designed for those who are familiar with Media 100 but want to use AVID, or those who have been trained on a Casablanca and would like to ‘step up’ to Media 100.
They are not introductory workshops, but practical exercises for editors with some non-linear editing experience.
The tutorials will cover digitising, working with video and audio timelines, creating effects and titling.
Workshop dates for AVID are 20 May and 17 June. Media 100 workshops will be held on 27 May and 24 June.
