Former state Labor member Nick Catania has been appointed as a director of Yilgarn Infrastructure Ltd. Mr Catania is currently chairman of the WA Local Government Superannuation Plan and is the mayor of the Town of Vincent, a position he has held since 2001 along with the role of chairman on the town audit committee and the small business safeguard committee. He was the member for Balcatta in the WA Legislative Assembly from 1989 to 1997 and is a former chairman of the North Perth Bendigo Bank. Yilgarn chairman Dr John Saunders said Mr Catania’s appointment would bring financial expertise to the board at a time when the company was progressing with its development plans. The company has also appointed Peter Gow as a director.
