US defence technology contractor Raytheon Australia has appointed former Australian Submarine Group commander Mike Deeks as WA site executive of its Henderson operations. Mr Deeks, who joined the company last month, will be responsible for the performance and expansion of the company’s operations in WA. He was formerly senior naval officer in WA and was the chairman of offshore communications provider Nautronix. Former WA site executive Richard Drain has accepted a senior position with South Australia’s air warfare destroyer program.
