Graham Thomson has been appointed the new chairperson of the Goldfields-Esperance Development Commission (GEDC) succeeding Colin Stewart. Mr Thomson, who is the managing director of Logistic Management Services and LMS Ministries Limited, is also a board member of the Diggers and Dealers Forum and a City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder councillor. He was previously deputy chairperson of the GEDC and brings an extensive range of experience to the new role. Goldfields-Esperance Minister Ljiljanna Ravlich said Mr Thomson’s presence would contribute to making the GEDC board ‘‘truly representative of the region’s interests including industry, health, education, mining, community and local government.’’
