Emerging Western Australian gold company Focus Minerals has appointed senior Perth-based management consultant and corporate advisory specialist, Geoff Rasmussen (pictured), as a non-executive director. Together with Perth business-men John Poynton and Mark Barnaba, Mr Rasmussen is co-founder and director of merchant banking group Azure Capital. He was also previously a founding director of Poynton and Partners and GEM Consulting, and worked as a senior consultant with McKinsey and Company in the US, Germany, the UK, South Africa and Central America. Mr Rasmussen serves as a non-executive director on company boards in resources, healthcare, and fast moving consumer goods. Kate Hobbs has resigned from her position as non-executive director to focus on her role as managing director of South Australian-based uranium explorer, Hindmarsh Resources.
