Australian construction company Probuild has announced the appointment of Adam Barker as managing director for its Western Australian operations, while Sam Delmenico will move into a new role interstate.

Mr Barker has served in a number of roles for the company where he started as a project coordinator in 2007 and as a construction manager in September last year.

Mr Delmenico is Probuild's current managing director in WA and will move into the role of managing director in Victoria.

Probuild Group managing director Simon Gray will be executive chairman for both Probuild and WBHO Infrastructure, based in Melbourne.

“I have been strongly committed to creating a long-term successful business,” Mr Gray said.

“The long-term future will be in the hands of our own people.

“We provide exciting opportunities for the development and nurturing of talent in our businesses, and these are great examples.”

Mr Gray was the founder of construction company Contexx, where he served as managing director for six years until the company merged with Probuild in 2012.

The announcements, effective in October, come two months after the retirement of non-executive director, former Probuild director and WBHO Infrastructure chairman Ted Yencken.

Victoria managing director Luke Stambolis will move into Mr Gray’s position as Probuild Group managing director.

Brad Duggan will continue his role as Probuild director and chief financial officer while moving into a new role as director and CFO for WBHO Infrastructure.
