New connections for Swoop

Swoop Holdings has secured a more than $5 million, five-year contract with Orro Group to provide NBN enterprise ethernet services to its Western Australian users.

That deal, which has been secured under the NodeOne Internet brand, will provide high-speed, fibre connectivity to more than 150 locations in WA.

It follows a series of major acquisitions by the business this past month that have expanded its footprint in WA, Victoria and South Australia.

Swoop chief executive Alex West called the deal an amazing achievement for all parties involved.

“NodeOne is the only WA-based retail service provider with direct connectivity to all the NBN [points of interconnect], and when you combine this with the great relationship we have with NBN and Orro Group, our local support and account management teams, it really gave us a unique offering,” he said.

Orro’s state managing director, David Povey, said he had been impressed by Swoop’s professionalism.

“NodeOne has a large local presence in Perth and regional WA and this has been a big factor in choosing NodeOne as our preferred NBN retail service provider to deliver this important contract,” he said.

Shares in Swoop were trading at $1.52 at 11am AEST.
