WEST Perth-based exploration and investment company Hardman Resources Ltd has appointed Bob Carroll as its new chairman, succeeding Alan Burns, who stepped down from the role on July 3. Mr Carroll has been a director of the company since December 2003, and was chief financial officer of Woodside Petroleum Ltd from January 1997 to mid-2002. In other ASX company moves, Patrick O’Connor, former managing director of Churchill Capital, has taken another step towards his planned public investment company launch by resigning as non-executive chairman of Perth healthcare company Acuron Ltd.
