New board appointment & promotions at Mincor

Mincor Resources NL has announced the appointment of chief operating officer Jim Reeve to its board of directors, with immediate effect.

He will be replaced as COO by Steve Cowle.

Mr Reeve, a geologist, joined Mincor in 2001 after a long career with WMC Resources Ltd, where he held a variety of senior management positions.

He has extensive, hands-on knowledge of the exploration and mining business, with particular reference to the discovery, development and operation of nickel mines.

Mr Reeve will step down as Mincor's COO, but will continue with the company in a part time role, working on its growth plans in the nickel and wider minerals industry.

Mr Cowle has been the company's General Manager - Kambalda Nickel Operations, since 2003, and oversaw a period of massive expansion in that area of the business.

Mike Hildebrand will take over as General Manager - Kambalda Nickel Operations. Mr Hildebrand is a mining engineer with extensive experience in underground mining.

BOARD APPOINTMENT AND INTERNAL PROMOTIONS
Mincor Resources NL is very pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Jim Reeve to its board of directors, with immediate effect. Mr Reeve has served as Mincor's Chief Operating Officer since early 2001, and has played a vital role in the development of the Company.

Mr Reeve is a geologist by background and joined Mincor in 2001 after a long career with WMC Resources Ltd, where he held a variety of senior management positions including that of Geology Manager: Nickel Business Unit, Chief Geologist of Kambalda Nickel and Gold Operations, and Chief Geologist at Olympic Dam. Mr Reeve has extensive, hands-on knowledge of the exploration and mining business, with particular reference to the discovery, development and operation of nickel mines.

In accordance with his own wishes, and following his appointment to the board, Mr Reeve will step down as Mincor's Chief Operating Officer from the end of June 2006. It is intended that, in addition to his duties as a director, Mr Reeve will continue in an exclusive part time role with Mincor, focussing on the Company's growth plans, both in nickel and in the wider minerals industry.

Mincor's board believes that it is appropriate to bring Mr Reeve's skills, expertise and experience into the boardroom, where his integrity, independence of mind, and deep understanding of both the Company and the mining and exploration business will compliment the board's existing expertise.

Mincor is also very pleased to announce that Mr Steve Cowle has been promoted to the role of Chief Operating Officer. Mr Cowle has served as Mincor's General Manager - Kambalda Nickel Operations, since 2003. Mr Cowle successfully managed the Company's mining and development operations during a period of massive expansion as the Mariners and Redross mines were developed, the North Miitel expansion was carried out, and extensive structural and operational changes were completed.

The Company is also pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Mike Hildebrand to the position of General Manager - Kambalda Nickel Operations. Mr Hildebrand is a mining engineer with extensive experience in underground mining.
