Net-based pet care launched

A PERTH business has launched an Internet-based pet advice service.

Perfect Paws is an online pet accessory supply company that also offers users the ability to communicate pet-related health concerns to qualified vets.

Basic veterinary advice is requested and delivered using a direct response email system.

Questions are classified into one of 85 health subject headings and are sent to Vetwest Animal Hospitals.

The answer is sent back to the original person and logged on to the web site’s database for public reference.

Perfect Paws Australia director Jose Navarro said the concept was intended to further the education of pet owners,

not to discourage professional, face-to-face consultation.

“It allows people to ask questions at a time that best suits them,” Mr Navarro said. “People can also consult a selected group of breeders to allow them to learn more about a specific breed prior to considering it as a pet.”
