NRW Holdings has announced a three year, $36 million extension to its earthworks contract with Rio Tinto at its Simandou iron ore development in West Africa.
Works under the deal include the construction of roads and drill pads at the Simandou site as well as community based civil work.
The extension also provides for potential additional works in and around the proposed rail link to the site.
NRW has been undertaking works at Simandou since 2006 and employs around 200 people on site.
At 12:50PM (WST) NRW’s stock had dipped 2.5 per cent to $2.27.
