Established in 1989, Mission Australia is a national not-for-profit organisation that annually helps more than 300,000 people in need. Mission Australia was established through the combination of Australia’s state city missions, the first dating back to 1859. Today, the organisation employs 3,000 staff and 1,000 volunteers to assist in various community services, including drug and alcohol education and support, accommodation, employment services and soup kitchens for those in need.
