The Business & Industry Committee started in 1996, when corporate giving had a minimal impact on The Salvation Army’s Red Shield Appeal. The purpose of the committee is to raise the profile of The Salvation Army’s community welfare services within the Western Australian corporate sector. The committee aims to develop and execute a business strategy to improve corporate understanding of the needs of The Salvation Army in order to generate significant financial support. Today, corporate giving makes up a significant portion of the Red Shield Appeal total income. Chairman: Alan Green. Members: Warren Palmer Shendelle Oliver Greg Allen Lawrie O’Neill Bob Payne Ron Silvestri Stephen Pearce Colin Pavlovich.
