Monadelphous Group has won a five-year contract to provide its services to a number of Woodside Petroleum’s operations in the North West.

Under an initial five-year term, Perth-based Monadelphous will provide maintenance, shutdown services and offshore brownfields implementation at Woodside’s Karratha gas plant, its Pluto operation, the North Rankin complex and its Goodwyn A and Angel platforms.

The contract follows previous maintenance and shutdown work Monadelphous has carried out for Woodside at Pluto and the Karratha gas plant since 2012.

The contract comes with two one-year extension options.

Managing director Rob Velletri said the contract was a significant award for Monadelphous.

“We have a long history of delivering on our promises to customers, maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety, and implementing innovative solutions that deliver continual improvements in productivity,” he said.

“It’s pleasing to see our work in these areas recognised by Woodside with the award of a new, expanded contract which includes a significant portion of their offshore gas production facilities in the north-west of Western Australia, in addition to the onshore maintenance services we currently provide.”

It follows news last week that Monadelphous had won a $125 million contract to complete the construction of cryogenic tanks at the Ichthys LNG project in Darwin.

Monadelphous shares were 3.5 per cent lower to $13.40 each, while Woodside shares were 1.8 per cent lower to $29.38 each, at the close of trade.
