The release today of the year's final radio ratings survey has cemented Mix 94.5 as Perth's leading station, having held the top spot for the past decade.

The latest Nielsen survey showed the Austereo station ended the year on top with an audience share of 14.9 per cent, a 2.8 per cent dip on the previous results.

"To be number one in the very competitive world of radio for a whole decade is an extraordinary milestone in the history of any radio station," Austereo Perth general manager Linda Wayman said.

Despite the lead in the overall ratings category, Mix 94.5's breakfast team The Bunch lost its number one spot in the highly competitive category to ABC720's Eoin Cameron.

Mr Cameron's share of the audience gained 3.3 per cent to hold an audience share of 16.9 per cent while The Bunch shed 1.3 per cent to 14.2 per cent.

Both breakfast shows have continuously vied for the top spot.

In the 9am to midday slot, Mix 94.5 regained the upper hand despite a 3.7 per cent dip and maintained that lead into the midday to 4pm timeslot.

Mix 94.5's sister station then takes the lead in the 4pm to 7pm Drive and 7pm to midnight timeslots, grabbing a 22.4 per cent and 20.3 per cent audience share, respectively.

92.9 was the second highest rating radio station in the latest survey, with ratings of 14 per cent.
