MORE THAN 19,000 people have found jobs through Mission Australia in the first eighteen months of Job Network.

Mission Employment WA regional manager Anne Russell-Brown said, as at the end of October, the community service provider’s ninety plus centres in six states had helped more than 40,000 unemployed.

“In Perth and regional WA, we’ve found jobs for almost 2,800 people and assisted some 5,400,” Ms Russell-Brown said.

“Mission Employment – the country’s largest New Enterprise Incen-tive Scheme provider – has helped to train more than 2,400 unemployed people to start their own business.

“More than 1,800 have begun operating, including 112 in WA”

Ms Russell-Brown said Mission Employment was also one of Australia’s biggest Work for the Dole providers.

She said during the next six to twelve months, the organisation would assist more than 2,600 unemployed young people.

“We continue to achieve good placements through our no fee for service policy,” she said.
