It is with deep regret and sadness that we report the death, yesterday, of Mincor's Director of Exploration, Mr Jim Reeve.

After a long and illustrious career with WMC Resources Ltd and a brief period as a consultant, Mr Reeve joined Mincor in early 2001 as its Chief Operating Officer. He was appointed to the board in 2006. From his first association with Mincor, Mr Reeve played a vital role in the success and growth of the Company.

Mr Reeve was well-known and highly respected throughout the Australian mining industry. His integrity, honesty, good humour and optimism, his love of life and his passion for geology, and his encyclopedic knowledge of the Kambalda Nickel District, were extraordinary. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

Mincor's managing director, David Moore, said: "Jim was one of the finest men I ever knew, his death is a great loss to the Australian mining and geological fraternity, a great loss to Mincor, and above all a tragic loss to his family, with whom he was very close".

Mincor and all its staff express their deepest sympathies to Jim's family and friends.
