REGISTRATIONS are now being taken for name inscriptions on the Welcome Walls at the Western Australian Maritime Museum.
The Welcome Walls are designed to be a lasting tribute to migrants who arrived in WA by sea.
An engraved enscription of a person’s name, year of arrival and ship of passage will cost $66.
Along with that the person also gets a listing included on a special website that can be accessed by family and friends around the world and on the ‘Passages’ database _ a historical computer database that can be accessed at the museum.
The State Government is contributing $650,000 towards the project.
