PERTH-BASED Midwest Corp has moved closer to developing its $1.5 billion Weld Range and Koolanooka iron ore projects by signing an historic joint venture with Chinese steel giant Sinosteel Corp.The agreement, to develop Midwest’s Weld Range haematite deposit near Cue and its Koolanooka magnetite resource near Morawa, marks the first time an Australian and Chinese company will jointly share the risk at the early stages of a resource project
