West Perth-based mineral explorer Metex Resources Ltd will change its name to Carbon Energy Ltd tomorrow, the final touch on its repositioning as an energy focused company.
Following shareholder and regulatory approvals, Metex will begin trading as Carbon Energy tomorrow morning under the new code CNX.
The company is completing the construction of its underground coal gasification trial site in Queensland.
The change in name also follows changes to the board where chairman Bob Bunning has tendered his resignation after 15 years of service, 10 of which he held the chairman position.
Additionally Shad Linley, who holds board positions at Kagara Ltd and Marathon Resources Ltd, has been appointed as non-executive director of Metex.
