McIntyre to head Joondalup inquiry
BARRISTER Greg McIntyre has been appointed to replace William Ford as the presiding member of the Panel of Inquiry into the activities of the Joondalup City Council.
Mr Ford has resigned from the inquiry on medical advice.
Mr McIntyre conducted the inquiry into the City of South Perth.
Local Government Minister Tom Stephens said Mr McIntyre would have wide-ranging terms of reference in determining whether there had been failure to provide good governance to the City of Joondalup and would be able to make recommendations as he saw fit.
Mr McIntyre will also consider whether or not the suspended council should be reinstated or dismissed.
John Staunde continues as counsel assisting the Joondalup inquiry.
