Malaga-based Automotive Technology Group says it has developed world-leading green technology for its headline product, the Sprintex Supercharger.

The company has lodged a new patent application for the low emissions, high fuel efficiency improvement to the supercharger.

The technology has been developed throughout a testing program that resulted in improvements of performance of more than 100 per cent volumetric efficiency of internal combustion.

ATG says the testing confirms the Sprintex as the world's best supercharger product for automotive and industrial applications.

Company executive director corporate Steven Apedaile said more motorcycle and motor vehicle manufacturers were turning to supercharging to achieve tougher emissions and fuel efficiency targets before governments around the world began enforcing them.

"The lodgement of the new patent application will keep ATG and our green technology Sprintex Supercharger at the forefront of the supercharger market, both automative and compressor applications," Mr Apedaile said.

ATG is moving forward with aggressive growth, having branched into the Chinese market in January, and moves to distribute in the United Arab Emirates last year.
