METS buys out engineering group

Perth-based Mineral Engineering Technical Services has acquired A.A. Wilkie Consulting Engineers for an undisclosed sum.

METS announced today that it intended to purchase A.A. Wilkie, which provides a range of engineering services including mineral processing, engineering design, training and specialist mining services.

A.A. Wilkie was established in 1985, and will trade as Wilkie Civil Engineering in the future.

METS director Damian Connelly said the acquisition came on the heels of the recent purchase of CDMS Consulting Engineers and the integration of the two brands under the Midas Engineering Group banner.

“Our strategic intent is to expand our offering of engineering services beyond the current and across a variety of new sectors,” Mr Connelly said in a statement.

“In addition to organic growth, we have chosen to acquire A.A. Wilkie as it will strengthen our business and support our vision.”
